STATEMENT OF FAITH
What We Believe
We believe that the Bible contains the inspired and infallible Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1: 20-21)
We believe that there is only one God eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:5-6, Gen. 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17)
We believe in the deity of Christ. – (John 1: 1-4; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:1-5) a) He was conceived of the Holy Spirit – (Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 1:30-35 b) He was born of a virgin – (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:30-35. c) His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22). d) He died – (John 19:30-35) e) He rose again from the dead bodily – (John 20:25-29, Luke 24:36-40) f) He ascended into heaven bodily – (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Luke 24: 50-51)
We believe in the rapture of the saints and the Second coming of Christ. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Matthew 24:29-31)
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus. (Acts 3:19, Luke 24:47; Ephesians 1:7)
We believe regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God is essential for personal salvation. (Titus 2:5, John 3:3-7, Ephesians 5:25-27)
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides divine healing for the body, salvation for the soul of everyone that believes. Healing with and without medicine (Matt. 4:23-24/8:16; James 5:15; Luke 13:12-13;1 Peter 2: 24; Acts 3: 16, Acts 9: 32 -35 Ps. 103:3; Job 2:1-9;)- (healing with medicine Matt 9:12; Mark 2:17; 1Timothy 5:23 Luke 10:34-35; 2Kings 20:7; Isa 38:21)
We believe that when an individual receives the Holy Spirit, he receives divine enablement for believer’s service and witness. (Acts 1: 8/ 2:4/ 3:1 -26/ 4:5 – 12)
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15: 16; 1 Corinthians 6:11)
We believe in the final resurrection of both the saved and the lost, final judgment some to eternal life and others to eternal punishment. (Revelations 20: 11 -15; 1 Corinthians 15: 12 – 23; John 5:27-29; Daniel 12:1-2)
We believe in justification or new birth; this is God’s grace whereby we are cleansed from our sins by which we can stand before God as though we have never sinned. (Acts 13:39; Rom. 3:25-28; Rom 5:1; I Cor. 6:11; Gal. 3:24; John 1:12-13; II Cor. 5:9; Titus 3:5; I Peter 1:23; Acts 10:43; John 3:3,5)
We believe sanctification is another level by grace of God which we put off old life and put on new life (living sacrifice) progressively and completely clean. This is the level the grace which through our faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ is wrought after we have been justified and free from our sins or regenerated. (Ephesians 4:17-32; Romans 12:1-2 /6:4 Colossians 3:5-17) Teaches us to abstain from all appearance of evil – I Thess. 5:22. “But follow after righteousness, faith, love, purging ourselves from unclean things so that we may be vessels unto honor, sanctified, and prepared unto every good work” – II Tim. 2:21-22.( Titus 2:11-14; I Thess. 4:2-8 Heb. 2:11; 12:14; 13:12; I John 1:7/9, Luke1:74-75, John 17:16-17 Gal 5:24-25 II Cor. 7:1; I Peter 1:16-17; Eph. 5:25-27; I Thess. 5:23-24; (II Thess. 2:13; Eph 4:23-24/5:1-12/17 )
We believe restitution is a sign of true repentance. This is payment for what is damaged –Whatever cannot give us a clear conscience before man and God should be restituted without delay. (Luke 19:8-9; Lev 6:1-7; Prov. 28:13; Acts 24:16.
We believe Prepared judgement (Revelation 22:12) and the judgement seat of Christ Jesus (Yeshiva) that all must appear before Him. (2 Corinthians 5:10 Matthew 25:31-46).
And judgement of works of the servants of Christ (people of God) the saints only (Matthew 25:14-30 Luke 12:43-48 Hebrews 13:17) after being beaten with many stripes or few stripes, some will lose their souls because of their works (Matthew 25:30) some will lose their rewards, but their souls will be save through Tribulation fire (1 Corinthians 3:12-15) the rest will receive rewards according to the level of each one work.
We believe investing in lives here on earth to get rewards in heaven. (Matthew 6:19-21 / 25:37-40)
THE TITLE, LORD JESUS CHRIST The appellation Lord Jesus Christ is a proper name. It is never applied in the New Testament either to the Father or to the Holy Spirit. It therefore belongs exclusively to the Son of God (Romans 1:1–3,7; 2 John 3).
The Lord Jesus Christ, God with Us The Lord Jesus Christ, as to His divine and eternal nature, is the proper and only Begotten of the Father, but as to His human nature, He is the proper Son of Man. He is, therefore, acknowledged to be both God and man; who because He is God and man, is “Immanuel,” God with us (Matthew 1:23; 1 John 4:2,10,14; Revelation 1:13,17)
- THREE ELEMENTS Salvation is triangular, as it has three distinct tenses – a past; a present and a future, and many passages show a clear distinction between these three grammatical forms, but Salvation also has its roots in the Creator – for it is eternal and it is indivisible.
Dear friends, we are God’s children now (justification), and what we will be (glorification) has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him because we will see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself now – (sanctification) just as He is pure. 1 John 3:3
- Single Salvation There is only one salvation, which is a gracious gift of God, and is accessed by faith alone. But salvation is a like a beautiful flower that buds; blossoms and then gives fruits. It’s a single concept with differing forms: 1) justification; 2) sanctification; 3] glorification. These three sparkling gems unite into the unique gift of God’s grace – SALVATION.
- One Gift of Grace Salvation is ONE and yet salvation is THREE – for we were saved at a single point in time: – (justified) We are being saved through the passage of time: – (sanctification) and at a point in time, known only to God, we will be finally fully saved: – (glorified). There are not 3 salvations, but ONE gift of grace that is accessed by faith, in Christ, God’s 1 gift of salvation has 3 elements – 1. justification, 2. sanctification and 3. glorification.
- Three Stages It is vital that believers understand the simplicity and the complexities of salvation, for a misunderstanding of salvation can cause misinterpretation of the Word of God. It is therefore essential to distinguish between these three stages of salvation. We need to know the meanings of justification, sanctification and glorification. Justification – PAST
There are many passages that distinguish between these three tenses of salvation, in 2 Timothy 1:9 we discover God saved us – a past event, that took place at a point in time, when we were saved from the penalty of sin i.e. eternal separation from God. Salvation in this verse is given the term, justification – for we are justified by grace.
- Initial Salvation Although we were not made righteous in a practical way – for we still have an old sin nature, this was the point we were positioned “in Christ” – and imputed with His righteousness – and from then on, we had a right standing with God – JUSTIFIED. This is the point in time when we were born again – by believing in the work of Christ. In this verse Salvation is a done deal – a past event, when we were made righteous. Justification is a past event – and is the first of three meaning of SALVATION.
- Sanctification – PRESENT In 1 Timothy 4:16 Paul is seen reminding Timothy to persevere in the things of God – which will ensure SALVATION both for himself – and for all who hear him teach. Salvation in this verse is given the term sanctification – for we are sanctified by grace.
- Ongoing Salvation
Timothy, who was already saved in the past from the penalty of sin, is now being instructed on how to be saved in the present, from the POWER of sin – for he, like all believers, is in the process of being saved in his Christian life – SANCTIFICATION. Although justification happens at a point in time – sanctification is a life-long process. Sanctification is an ongoing, life-long process in a believer, BUT though God desires all His children to be sanctified – not all believers are willing to be set apart unto Him.
- Positional Sanctification Being positioned “in Christ”, when we were justified, means we were also prepositionally sanctified that very moment, we were prepositionally set apart unto God, but because we have free-will, we can choose whether we want to be sanctified. Though prepositionally sanctified at rebirth – practical sanctification remains a choice.
- Practical Sanctification God wants all his children to be sanctified and set apart unto Him, just as the Lord Jesus Christ sanctified Himself unto God – but He will never force His will on any of us. God desires all His children to willingly say, thy will, not mine be done, just like the Lord Jesus Christ – but He will never violate our volition, should we choose to refuse.
- Willing Sanctification God longs that all his children chose to be sanctified – set apart unto Him by offering themselves as a willing sacrifice and submitting to the Spirit’s leading – for when we are being sanctified, we’re blessed with continuous deliverance from the power of sin. All His children are positionally sanctified – but not all are being practically sanctified. The final element of Salvation by grace is the glorification of our bodies, and when this third element of salvation is complete, we will be like Him for we shall see Him as He is.
- Glorification – FUTURE In 1 Corinthians 15:52 Paul tells us a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. Salvation here relates to glorification – and we are also glorified by grace. The apostle John gives a rare look at a verse glimpsing all 3 elements of salvation. In 1 John 3:3 we read that we are God’s children now, (we are God’s children because we were justified) and what we will be has not yet been revealed. (our future glorification) • Finished Salvation We know that when He appears, we will be like Him for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself (through practical sanctification, during the present age) – just as the Lord Jesus Christ is pure. There is only one salvation, which is a gracious gift of God – accessed by faith alone. We’re justified by grace; sanctified by grace and glorified by grace – thru faith in Christ, and these 3 sparkling gems unite into God’s unique gift
THE FINAL JUDGMENT.
There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead and righteous will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43–48; Revelation 19:20; 20:11–15; 21:8).
THE NEW HEAVENS AND THE NEW EARTH
“We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness” (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21,22).
where the glorious presence of God will ‘cover the earth as the waters cover the sea’. He will consummate the kingdom of God once for all where perfect peace and justice will reign forever and ever. (Isaiah 9:6-7; 11:9; Matthew 24:4- 25:46; Revelation 19:11-22:5) We believe that every person will be raised from the dead. Believers will receive a glorified resurrection body and will live with God in everlasting blessedness and joy. We believe that every unbeliever will be punished with everlasting, conscious torment away from the presence of the Lord. Believers will be raised to stand for evaluation at the judgment seat of Christ to determine rewards based on their faithfulness and obedience to God. (Matthew 10:28, 13:48-50; Luke 16:19-26; 1 Corinthians 3:10-15; 2 Corinthians 4:14, 5:1-10; Philippians 1:23, 3:18-21; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Hebrews 9:27)
THE EVIDENCES OF SALVATION. The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24; Titus 2:12).
